They are not the only ones that use the boxer engine.

Does any one have any specs on the crank used in this engine? I know its a 86mm stroke but does any one know what size main and big end bearing it uses?

In response to rotor13, the only job a glow plug has is to help with cold starts. They heat up the intake air before starting the engine as to assist in igniting the vaporized diesel fuel. Once the engine is started and at least semi-warmed up, the glow plug system serves no purpose whatsoever. The high compression ratio is all they need to ignite the fuel afterwards.

I forgot it is their first,so we se how this product is good and durable(considering that subaru don't have Tradition and Expirience)

This engine don't give nothing new or revolutionary!!!yes it's first subaru diesel, and yes they chose B4 form(because they are unable to put another configuration in their platform-chasis)BUT it's only form of cylinders!!!

Boxer engines are very durable and can withstand a lot of pressure |
