so im guessing you don't use Iphone's mobileme.. the reason everything is synced over the web .. is os that you dont lose it... its the same information you have on your email accounts and outlooks anyway.. it doesnt publish it on the web.. it simply stores it for ONLY YOU TO ACCESS IT .. not the whole world..

just get an unlimited data plan.. if you use the internet .. u should always have an unlimited data plan.. no matter what phone you have

their is media on the G1 ... there is also the Amazon mp3 store that comes pre-loaded.. and unlike itunes mp3's are not DRM protected..
